Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street(Rte123) Brockton Friday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Edward Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Thursday 4-6 pm.
Obituary Information
Mr. Mooney died Monday evening at Life Care Center, in West Bridgewater after a period of failing health. Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late Thomas J. Mooney and Phoebe (Laboure) Mooney. He attended Brockton schools. He served in the US Army during WW II in the 465th Glider Headquarters Service Field Artillery as a Tech Fifth Grade. For over 30 years he had been employed by Gallo Leather Company as a sole and heal cutter, retiring in 1978. He enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and the racetracks.
He is survived by a son, Robert C. Mooney of Carver, and former wife Mildred (Newell) Piasecki of West Bridgewater.
He was the brother of the late John Mooney, Sylvester Mooney, Elizabeth Mooney and Thomas J. “Unkie” Mooney, Jr.
