Obituary

Thomas J. Millin of Dedham, died January 3, 2008 at his home. He was 87 years old. He was the beloved husband of the late Claire (Thibault) Millin.

Mr. Millin was born in Arlington and was the son of the late John and Mary (King) Millin. He was a World War II Veteran, serving in the United States Coast Guard and a retired employee of New England Telephone for 36 years. He was a graduate of Norwood High School, St. Anselm’s College and Boston College. He was a life member of the Jacob Jones, V.F.W., Dedham and a member of the Blinded Veterans Association and the G.B.A.B.

He was the devoted father of Maureen Gamel of Houston, TX, Thomas J. Millin Jr. of Brockton, Karen M. Maida and Paul Millin both of Dedham and Richard J. Millin of Harrisburg, VA. He also leaves 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was the brother of Russell Millin of Norwood and the late John A. Millin.

His funeral will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, on Monday at 8 AM with a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment will follow in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 2-6 PM at the funeral home.
