AUBURN-Rita D. (Robinson) Jalbert,83, of 25 Main Street died Sunday, January 19 in the Meadows of Leicester after an illness.
Her husband, Rene H. Jalbert died in 1964.
She leaves her daughter, Linda A. Poitras of Auburn; her son, Rene H. Jalbert of Auburn; a brother, Joseph F. Robinson of Sun City, CA; two sisters, Claire J. Connor of Worcester and Eileen B. Robichaud of Auburn; five granddaughters and three great grandchildren. Her son, Robert J. Jalbert predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Joseph and Dora (Malboeuf) Robinson and has lived here for 52 years. She attended St. Peter's High School.
Mrs. Jalbert worked as a nurses aide for many years at the former Bancroft House Healthcare Center in Worcester before retiring.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Auburn where she had taught confraternity of christian doctrine classes. She loved crocheting and knitting.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 22 from the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., (www.brittonfuneralhomes.com) Auburn with a Mass at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford St., Auburn. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. A calling hour will be held on Wed., Jan. 22 from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM.
