Obituary

DRACUT- Michael R. Allwood, 53 years old, a resident of Greater Lowell for the past 35 years, died Monday evening, December 31st, at the Lowell General Hospital. He was the husband of Susan Philbrick-Allwood, of Dracut, who survives him.

He was born in Boston, on December 20, 1954, a son of Anne (Allwood) Ogonosky, of Lowell, and the late John W. Walsh. He was educated in the Boston School System.

Mr. Allwood served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He had been employed as a roofer by various construction companies in the greater Lowell area.

Surviving him besides his wife and mother are four sons: Michael McMaster, of Florida; James Hall, of Manchester, NH; Derek and Joshua Philbrick-Allwood, of Lowell; four daughters: Annmarie McMaster, of Michigan; Jennifer Hall, and Michelle and Christina Philbrick-Allwood, all of Lowell; two brothers: Daniel Juliano, of Lowell; and David Juliano, of Chelmsford; a sister: Suzanne Wasserman, of Lowell; his step father: Benjamin Torres of Lowell; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was the father of the late Jason Hall, and brother of the late William Juliano, Faye Wasserman, and Joan Leterneau.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, January 4th at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). His funeral service to be held at 7 PM Friday January 3rd, at the Funeral Home.
