Paul D. Fogerty, Sr., 73

Dateline: Norton, MA

Paul D. Fogerty, 73, of Norton formerly of Wellesley and Dedham died on Tuesday January 1, 2008 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved husband of Betty A. (Hellstrom) Fogerty to whom he was wed to for the past 40 years.
Born in Waltham, MA on February 26, 1934 he was a son of the late Herbert and Leslie (Akins) Fogerty.
He grew up and was educated in Wellesley. Mr. Fogerty was a self-employed Entrepreneur for most of his life. He had also been the former Animal Control Officer and Milk Inspector for the town of Norton.
Paul enjoyed making his daily rounds to Honey- Dew Donuts in Norton. He was a known fixture to all and took great pleasure in the discussion and debating of current affairs, especially those pertaining in the Town of Norton. Mr. Fogerty had made his home in Norton for the past 40 years and was formerly of Wellesley and Dedham.
Besides his beloved wife he is survived by his children; Paul D. Fogerty, Jr. and his wife Joyce of Taunton, Theresa A. Gomes and her husband Norton Fire Chief Richard Gomes of Norton, John J. Fogerty and his wife Charlene of South Carolina, Thomas P. Fogerty of Norton, David M. Fogerty and his wife Kathy of Cumberland, R.I., Barbara J. Olivieri and her husband Richard of Taunton, Frank J. Fogerty of Norton, Randy K. Fogerty of Norton and his step daughter Betty Lou Parker and her husband Bob of Norton, he was the brother of Lawrence Fogerty of Wellesley and the late Barbara Noyes, also survived by 10 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday January 5th from 3-7 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home immediately following visiting hours.
In lieu of flowers donations in Paul’s memory may be made to the Norton Ambulance Fund 70 East Main St. Norton, MA 02766.
