Obituary

Ralph E. Flynn, 85 years of So. Easton formerly of Brockton and Middleboro died Saturday December 29 at Morton Hospital. He was the husband of the late Marion C. (Woodford)(Salamone) Flynn. Ralph was born and raised in Attleboro a son of the late Carl and Gladys (Chapman) Bagnall. He was a graduate of Hope Street High in Providence in 1940 and entered the US Army in 1941 where he started his lengthy military career. He served in both WW II and Korea and retired as a Major from the Army Reserves.
For many years Mr. Flynn was an elementary school teacher for the City of Brockton. He received a master degree in library science from Bridgewater Sate College.
He is survived by a son Michael L. Flynn of Arizona, a daughter Laurie M. Flynn of California and his stepchildren Laurie A. Bettinson of Carver and Thomas Salamone of Middleboro.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 9:30 am. Burial with military honors will follow in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro. Visiting hours Friday 3-6 pm.
