Funeral services for Mr. Travis “T.J.” Jolley, 66, of Ashburn, GA. will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, December 31, 2007 at the New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Jolley passed away Saturday at his residence following an extended illness.
The son of the late John Carlial, Sr. and Virginia Dare Rycroft Jolley, he was born in Worth Co., GA. and had resided in Lakeland, FL for a long number of years before moving back to Turner Co. in 1979. He was owner and operator of Jolley Trucking Co. and was a member of the New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Jolley enjoyed NASCAR racing and the trucking business. He also enjoyed watching football games on TV.
Survivors include his wife, Fran B. Jolley of Ashburn, GA.; his sons Randy Jolley of Bactonton, GA. and James Ed Lanham of AR. His daughters Sheryl (Mike) Smith of Ashburn, GA and Cindy Jolley of Forsyth, GA. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His sisters, Grace Luke of Chattanooga, TN and Diane Raschke of Lakeland, FL. and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from six until eight at Perry Funeral Chapel.
