WORCESTER-Robert Ortiz, 68, of Worcester, died Thursday, December 27th in UMass Memorial Hospital. He leaves his wife of 15 years, Alice C. Lovely; 4 sons, Carlos D., Ruben, Richard and Edward Ortiz all of Florida; 2 daughters, Jacqueline Ortiz of Florida and Rachel Ortiz of South Carolina; 2 step-sons, David Lovely of West Virginia and Allan Lovely of Cape Cod; 2 step-daughters, Sharyn and JoAnne Lovely, both of Worcester; 3 brothers, Angel F. and Daniel Ortiz of Puerto Rico and Efrain Ortiz of Florida; 2 sisters, Jackie Ortiz of Florida and Noemi Ortiz of New York; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. A brother, Dimas Ortiz and a step-son Bruce Lovely predeceased him.
He was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, the son of Monserate Ortiz and Carolina Montalvo. Mr. Ortiz was employed by White Cleaners for 25 years as a presser.
A calling hour will be held from 11:00 until Noon, Monday, December 31st with a service to follow in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue.
