Obituary

Charles Tabeek 83 was taken from us to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 25th. He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Ross) Tabeek. The Tabeeks were married on September 3rd 1955 at the Dudley Street Baptist Church in Boston.

Born the son of the late Michael and Sarah (Hamond) Tabeek he was educated in West New York, NJ where he graduated high school and was a quarterback for his school team. He later attended the Moody Bible Institute of NY.

He was a resident of Whitman for more than 37 years where he was a familiar sight walking his dog. He was a lover of the outdoors, bicycling, walking the beach, photography, and singing to his bird “Bingo”. He was always honored to speak at the town’s Memorial Day Ceremonies

He was a member of the Tremont Temple of Boston, Dorchester Temple of Dorchester, the Whitman Baptist Church, and the Fellowship Baptist Church of Hanover with Pastor Mike Fernandez.

Charles had a great love for people and their souls; he influenced many people’s lives and ministered to countless children. He ministered along side his cherished friend Pastor Mike Fernandez a congregation of 150 plus people and together they brought many to Christ.
He touched people with his knowledge of the Scriptures and his love, earning him their love in return. Another of his cherished friends is Rev. Dr. Dharma C. Dande who leads Eternal Life Ministries, bringing God’s word to those in parts of Andhra Pradesh India and striving to establish Bible Institutes, Evangelism and teaching missions.

Mr. Tabeek leaves behind his loving daughter Barbara (Tabeek) West and her husband Gary of Westminster, VT who will miss him greatly. He is also survived by many close nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews. He was the father of the late Charles E. Tabeek and brother of the late Ernest and George Tabeek.

“I have fought a good fight; I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Hence forth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4 7:8
