Michael A. “Tubs” Indrisano, age 67, of Reading formerly of Medford, died December 22nd at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. He was the beloved husband of Diane L. (Haker). Born in Boston he was the son of the late Michael and Angela (Caso) Indrisano.
Michael was a retired high school teacher. He taught for many years at the Whittier Vocational Technical High School in Haverhill where he also served as the School’s Athletic Director and in more resent years he taught at the North Shore Regional Technical High School. Prior to his teaching career, Michael honorably served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union Local 3. Michael enjoyed sports and being active with youth and high school sports, He coached many teams over the years and was a past president of the Medford Recreational Hockey Program.
In addition to his beloved wife Diane, He is survived by his children, Jeanne Bassanelli of Medford, Michael Indrisano Jr. of Saugus, Christopher Indrisano of Everett, Renee Micieli of Lynn and Angela Roumeliotis of Peabody. He was the loving grandfather of Felipe Bassanelli, Michael Indrisano III, Nicholas Indrisano, Adriana and Christopher Indrisano, Angelina Micieli and William Roumeliotis. He is further survived by his sister Celeste Indrisano of Everett and brother, Gerard Indrisano of Virginia
Michael’s funeral service will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Saturday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent in Michael’s name to Special Olympics Massachusetts, Attn: Donations, 450 Maple St. Building 1,Danvers, MA 01923.
