Obituary

Annie Lou McClelland Connor, 92, of Sparks Retirement Home, formerly of Tifton, died December 25, 2007, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2007, in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Dr. Wayne Roe will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 27, 2007, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals, just prior to the service.

Mrs. Connor was born on April 1, 1915 in rural Cook County and was the daughter of Ossie Cleveland McClelland and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Pendarvis McClelland, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Joseph Edwin “Pat” Connor; one son, David Lee “Weldon” Connor; and one son-in-law, Herman Hall. She was a homemaker and a member of Tifton’s First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Connor is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Jean Connor Hall of Milledgeville, and Debra Connor Rankin and her husband, Roy, of Tifton; one son, Thomas Edwin “Stoney” Connor of Buford; eight grandchildren, Jim Hall Martin, Kae Hall Tyson, Kirk Edwin Hall, Kristin Hall Villarreal, Carla Connor Livsey DuSold, Christopher Edwin Connor, Connor Tift Rankin, and Elsa Caroline Rankin; twelve great grandchildren, Savannah Martin, Madison Martin, Dusty Tyson, Gabe Tyson, Avarianna Villarreal, Kelsea Livsey, Jordan DuSold, Allisa DuSold, Destin DuSold, Cody Connor, Evan Connor, and David Lee Connor Rankin; two sisters-in-law, Ethel McClelland and Pauline Connor Johnson; and one first cousin, Reba Cannington.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871; the First Baptist Church of Tifton; St. Anne’s Episcopal Church of Tifton; or the church of your choice.
