Cathy M. Ayer, 52 of Franklin died suddenly December 21 at her home.
Born in Boston, August 4, 1955 the daughter of Catherine (Leach) Ayer of Franklin and the late George Ayer, Miss Ayer had lived for several years in Dorchester before moving to Franklin in 1964.
Miss Ayer was a 1974 graduate of Franklin High School.
Miss Ayer had been a secretary for the United States Property and Fiscal Office.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brothers, Michael Ayer of Kingston and John Ayer of Bellingham
She is also survived by several nieces.
Calling will be held on Thursday, December 27 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin from 4-6 p.m.
Services and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
