Obituary

Salem: Helen (Kaplan) Tremblay age 82 of Salem, died Saturday, December 22, 2007, at the NSMC / Salem Hospital. She was the wife of the late Claude D. Tremblay.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Nickolas and Anastasia (Kascyk) Kaplan. A life long resident of Salem, she first worked in bookkeeping for several companies in Salem. In 1965 Helen began working in the registrar’s office of Salem State College. She retired from the college, as a supervisor, in 1984. Helen was most fond of gardening and knitting and with her late husband enjoyed spending time at home.
Helen is survived by a son, Paul R. Tremblay of Salem, a twin-sister, Florence Richard of Salem, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Scott C. Tremblay and a brother Stephen Kapaon.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral services on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 2 pm in the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem. An hour of visitation will precede her funeral from 1 pm to 2 pm. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Shore Cancer Center, 17 Centennial Dr., Peabody, MA 01960.
