Obituary

Laconia-Dora Ellen Tutt, 95, of 179 Court Street died on Saturday morning, December 22, 2007 at Lakes Region General Hospital after a brief illness.

Dora was the daughter of the late William and Roseanna (LeFleur) Shepard. She was born in Franklin, New Hampshire January 17, 1912, and had been a lifelong resident of Laconia.

Prior to her retirement Dora worked at the former O’Shea’s Department Store in the domestics department for over 12 years. Prior she had worked for the former Oscar A. Lougee Department Store, and the former Halls Drug Store on Main Street. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Dora and her late husband were well known for their beautiful flower gardens that graced their residence.

In addition to her parents, Dora is predeceased by her husband, Richard N. Tutt in 1998.

Dora is survived by three nieces, Dorothy Bourgault of Worcester, Massachusetts, Arlene Tilton of Franklin, and Pauline Eastman of Belmont; a nephew, Raymond Coulombe of Rochester, New York. Several grand nieces and grand nephews also survive Dora.

Entombment has taken place at Sacred Heart Cemetery Chapel, Garfield Street, Laconia to await funeral services and burial in the spring. There were no visiting hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. Adrien R. Longchamps on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia. Burial followed in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street.
