WEBSTER –Leo J. Vallee, Sr., 95, formerly of Harris Street, died Friday, Dec. 21, in Webster Manor.
He leaves a son, Leo J. Vallee, Jr., and his wife Anita of Killingworth, CT; two daughters, Patricia A. Provost of Dudley and Maureen L. Heath and her husband Bert of Webster; a sister, Rose Wilson of Hebron, CT; 4 grandchildren, Paul, Kerry and James Provost and Angela Symock; 3 great grandchildren, Kosmo and Victoria Symock and Greenlee Provost; Denis LeBoeuf of Charlton, whom he considered a son; a special “grandchild,” Dylan LeBoeuf; several nephews and nieces.
He was born in Webster, the son of Wilfred and Rose (Duquette) Vallee, and was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Vallee was a card tender first at Matson Mills in North Grosvenordale, CT for many years and then at Anglo Fabrics Company before retiring in 1978. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. He enjoyed playing poker and pitch.
The funeral will be held Monday, Dec. 24, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours are from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, December 23, in the funeral home. Donations in his name may be made to Allegiance Hospice, 117 Park Avenue, West Springfield, MA 01089.
