Obituary

Harriet Ellen Hewitt, 84, of Manchester died December 18, 2007 at the Catholic Medical Center.
She was born in Manchester on August 29, 1923, the daughter of Rev. George and Laura (Martel) Hewitt. She was educated in the local school system and attended Manchester High School Central.
Prior to retirement, she had been employed as a press operator for Anchor Electric for 42 years.
Harriet was very active with the Salvation Army and had been a member of the Booth Memorial Nurses Alumni. She had also volunteered for Stage One at the Palace Theater. She was a former member of St. Luke & St. Margaret Episcopal Church in Allston, MA. She will be remembered for her adventurous spirit and dedication to her family.
In her life: Members of her family include one sister, Ruth Watts of Derry, NH; nephews, Paul Hewitt, Denis Hewitt, Mark Hewitt, Bobby Dion, Kevin Dion, and Thomas McCarthy; nieces, Debbie Dion, Robin Dion, Laurie Lane, Brenda Lane, and Sandy Moore.
She was predeceased by brothers, Jerry Hewitt, Andrew Hewitt, Bob Hewitt, and Henry Hewitt; one sister, Lillian McCarthy, and one niece, Harriet E. Hewitt.
The funeral service took place in the funeral home chapel on Saturday December 22, 2007 with the Rev. Doug Rickard officiating. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery.
