Worcester—Mabel M. (Ohan) Ouimette, 93, died peacefully on Thursday, December 20, 2007. Her husband, Robert J. Ouimette and brother Albert Ohan, predeceased her. She is survived by her son, Ronald Ouimette; daughter-in-law, Valerie (Martinelli) Ouimette; granddaughters Lindsey Ouimette and Carly Ouimette, all of Worcester. She also has several nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Lucy and Antoni M. Ohan. She attended Worcester Public Schools, graduating from Commerce High School in 1938. She worked for Putnam and Thurstons and also was a lunch aide in the Worcester Public Schools.
Mabel was a loving mother and grandmother whose family meant everything to her. She enjoyed bowling, painting, bingo, and dancing. She loved to play piano and was very passionate about the Red Sox.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 26, at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. Calling hours will be held from 10-12 followed by the funeral service at 12 p.m. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
