AUBURN-Doria M. (Cyr) Pagonis, 84, of Auburn, died Wednesday, December 19th in the St. Francis Home. Her husband of 43 years, Stanley Pagonis died in 1993. She leaves 2 sons, Alden J. Cyr of Worcester and Anthony Pagonis of Leicester; a daughter, Dian Borgerson of Shrewsbury; a brother, Darcy Cyr of Plainville, CT; a sister, Rejeanne Cote of New Britain, CT; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. Three brothers predeceased her.
She was born in Grande Isle, ME, the daughter of Hubald and Jane Cyr. Mrs. Pagonis was employed by the College of the Holy Cross for 30 years as a staff worker until her retirement. She had been a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and was involved in many of its clubs and activities.
The funeral is Saturday, December 22nd with a service at 9:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Friday, December 21st from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
