Frances Rita (McGovern) O'Neil, 54, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, December 16th, 2007 at her home in Methuen.
Frances was born in Methuen and grew up in Lawrence, MA. She attended Saint Augustine's Grammar School and Saint Mary's High School. She earned her nursing degree at NECC. Fran was a parishioner of Saint Augustine's Chapel and especially loved her Grand kids.
She was the daughter of Francis "Red" McGovern and the late Rita (Donahue) McGovern.
Besides her father she is survived by her daughter Erin Lauredant of Methuen, MA., and her son James and his wife Kathy O'Neil of Salem, NH
She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Anthony, Ricky, Jacob, and Caleb of Methuen, MA. and Kelcey and Kevin of Salem, NH.
Fran is also survived by her sisters and brother-in-laws:
Mary and John Wilson of Pelham, NH
Ann and Richard Neel of Salem, NH
Sheila and Norman Meservey of Lawrence, MA.
Jane and Charles Perocchi of Methuen, MA
Debra and Daniel Hamel of Methuen, MA and
Nancy and Tony Hajjar of Methuen, MA.
Her Brothers: Terrence McGovern and John and his wife Janet McGovern all of Hampton, NH. As well as several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 20th, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Saint Augustine's Chapel, 128 Ames Street, Lawrence, MA.
Burial will take place at a later date.
