FALL RIVER … James J. Emond, 42, formerly of Oak Grove Ave., died unexpectedly Saturday, December 15, 2007.
He died at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Fall River a son of Barbara (Howard) Emond of Fall River and the late Leo J. Emond, Jr. and had been a life long resident of the city.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, Thomas Street.
Mr. Emond was in the Army Reserves and played in the Columbus Park Baseball League and enjoyed fishing. He was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
Survivors include his mother 2 brothers: Leo J. Emond, III and Kevin J. Emond and his wife Nina all of Fall River, 3 sisters: Beverly A. Marino and her husband Gary of Tiverton, Barbara Evans of Holderness, NH, and Brenda Leandro and her husband Bob of Taunton, several nieces and nephews. He was the brother in law of the late Bennett Evans.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday at 9AM from the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River (508-672-0291) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, Thomas Street, Fall River. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hour Wednesday 5 - 8 PM.
