Mary M. Arnold 78 years of Brockton died Saturday at the Brockton Hospital following a brief illness. She was born and raised in Gettysburg, Maryland and came to Brockton 36 years ago. Mary retired as a bus driver for Cary’s Transportation in Whitman and drove school bus routes in Abington and Whitman. She was an avid bingo player and played most nights of the week at various Brockton games. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting and gardening but most especially time spent with her grandchildren.
She was the mother of Randy Burrell of Tennessee; Ellen Burrell of Brockton; Nancy (Arnold) Brackett of Taunton and the late Marvis-Laura Arnold and Valerie-Ann Arnold.
She also leaves 8 grand children and 3 great grandchildren. She was the wife of the late Floyd Arnold.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 11 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7 pm.
