Sara Belle Arnold, 87, of Lake Isabella, California died Monday, December 17, 2007, in Bakersfield, California. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2007 in Oaky Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Berrien County. Rev. Terrell Roberts will officiate with burial to follow in Oaky Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ms. Arnold was born on September 2, 1920. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Olen Emerson Arnold; two sons, Olen W. Arnold and James E. Arnold; one daughter, Christine Kilgore; and one grandson, Scott Arnold. She was devoted to her religious faith and saw her job as a mother to teach strong work ethics and high morals to her children. She was determined to be self-sufficient to her last day and believed in doing for others and not trying to bring attention to one's self. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ms. Arnold is survived by one son, Everett Arnold of Lake Isabella, California; three daughters, Iris Stout of Lakeland, Florida, Deborah LaVallie of Pine Grove, California, and Diane Parsons of Bakersfield, California; one daughter-in-law, Terry Arnold of Bakersfield, California; six grandchildren, Stephanie Leyendecker of Bakersfield, California, Mark Stout of Bumpass, Virginia, Stephen Strout of Lakeland, Florida, Holly Lake of Bakersfield, California, Emily Lake of Bakersfield, California, and Sandee Lake of Denver, Colorado; and seven great grandchildren.
