Scott Vickers, 46, of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina died Sunday, December 16 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Thursday, December 20, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with Rev. Steve Hand officiating. Interment will follow in Whitley Cemetery, Irwin County. Visitation will be held 7-9 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Vickers was born April 26, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio to Barbara Combs Gibson and Russell Vickers. He was a former resident of Fitzgerald. Mr. Vickers worked in painting and building construction and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Oglethorpe, Georgia.
He is survived by his companion, Sharron Martinez of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; mother, Barbara Gibson of Irwin County; father, Russell G. Vickers of Sarasota, FL; brother, Brett Vickers of Irwin County; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marcy & Kevin Day and Shannon & Reese Starnes all of Fitzgerald, Darla & Charlie Biggers of Ocilla, Carla Gibson of Irwin County, Kelly & Dave Givens and Stacey & Chris Getters all of Dayton, OH as well as several nieces and nephews.
