Joseph Velardo Jr. of Halifax died on December 15, 2007. He was 89 years
old. Mr. Velardo was born, raised, and educated in Quincy. Following his
graduation from high school Mr. Velardo enlisted in the United States Army,
where he was an instructor in the Parachute Jump School. Mr. Velardo was
also a plumber by trade. Mr. Velardo’s love in life was his animals. He
loved his horses, and his cats.
Mr. Velardo is the husband of the late Pauline Velardo. Father of the late
Stephen Velardo. Close friend of David Michalak of Halifax. A graveside
service will be held on Thursday, December 20th at 10:00 AM at the Center
Cemetery in Pembroke. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joseph’s
name to the Animal rescue League, PO Box 265, Boston, MA 02117.
