Mafalda Fasano, 78

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Mafalda “Miffy” (Renzella) Fasano, 78, of Willow Crossing, Mansfield formerly of Canton died on Friday December 14, 2007 at Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood. She was the beloved wife of Frank Fasano to whom she was wed on January 28, 1951.
Born in the Roslindale section of Boston on January 20, 1929 she was a loving daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Rando) Renzella.
She grew up in Roslindale, was educated in Roslindale schools and was a graduate of the former Practical Arts School. Mrs. Fasano served as dedicated homemaker to her loving family.
A former parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton, Miffy was quite involved with the activity committee at her new home in the Willow Crossing community in Mansfield where she loved playing poker with her friends.
An avid bowler and member of the Red Hat Society she also enjoyed trips with her friends to Foxwoods and had a sweet tooth for scratch tickets. Mrs. Fasano loved to entertain and was always the center of attention at family gatherings and holidays, especially the 4th of July. She loved being around family, especially her grandsons and her family will always fondly remember her expertise in cooking. Miffy had made her home in Mansfield for the past 3 ½ years and was a former 49 year resident of Canton.
In addition to her beloved husband of nearly 57 years she is survived by her devoted children; Linda M. DiNatale and her fiancé Richard Jankowski of Bristol, New Hampshire and Robert P. Fasano and his wife Janet of Mansfield, her dear sisters Anna Taranto of Mansfield, Yolanda Santamaria of Waltham and Katherine Cappadona of Mansfield, her cherished grandsons Jason W. Fasano and Christopher L. Fasano both of Mansfield, also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday December 18th at 8:00 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 9:00 A.M. in St, Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St.(Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday December 17th from 5-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
