Obituary Information
Yvela Michel died Tuesday morning, January 14, 2003, at Boston Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born in Petite Riviere de Nippes, Haiti, a daughter of Regina Michel and the late Adrien Michel. She had been a resident of Charlestown, MA for the past nine years. She had been employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant by the Donald Orion Nursing Home and was employed by Winthrop House Senior Care at the time of her death. She had been a communicant of St. Angela Church, Mattapan and Sacred Heart Church, Brockton. She enjoyed time spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by two sons Girard B. Francois and Jean Joseph Nei, her mother Regina Michel, godfather Alfred Casimir, her dear friend Gerard B. Francois, 3 sisters Antonine Louisne and family, Marthe Gauthier and family, Laurette Jean-Louis and family, Marie Andree St. Vil and family and 3 brothers Alberic Michel and family, Thomas Michel and family, and Yves Antoine Michel and family.
