WORCESTER: Marie E. (Fahlbeck) Vigeant, 55, of Arbutus St., died Thursday, December 13, 2007, at the home of her daughter Amy Sentance, in Charlton, after a long illness.
She leaves her husband of 35 years, Paul J. Vigeant; a son, Paul J. Vigeant, Jr. and his wife Christina of Worcester; two daughters, Lisa A. Vigeant and her husband Richard Croteau of Webster, Amy L. Sentance and her husband Christopher of Charlton; her mother, Therese (Maynard) Fahlbeck of Worcester; 3 brothers, Norman Fahlbeck of Tacoma, WA, Robert Fahlbeck and Peter Fahlbeck, both of Worcester; 7 sisters, Jeanne Whitney of Worcester, Claire Moroney of Grafton, Christine Fahlbeck, Janice Fahlbeck, Theresa Fahlbeck, Susan Hill and Rose Smola, all of Worcester; 6 grandchildren, Sandra, Sharlene, Antonette, Corrine, Isabella and Connor; and many nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Anne Butler, Cecile Lazrick, and 2 brothers, Carl Fahlbeck and Ronald Fahlbeck, all predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Carl O. Fahlbeck. She graduated from Holy Name High School and completed a course at Fanning Trade School to become a licensed practical nurse.
Marie was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She was a Eucharistic Minister for many years, a Lector, and was a participant in a number of church prayer groups. She loved doing things for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
CALLING HOURS will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 17, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18 in OUR LADY OF LOURDES CHURCH, 1290 Grafton St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
