Helen P. Joyce, 89, of Stoneham, passed away at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on December 8th, 2007. She was born on June 27th, 1918 to her parents Frank and Helen (Graham) kersey. Helen has lived in Stoneham for the past 15 years and was previously a resident of Everett. She is a graduate of Cheverus Grammar School and the former Cheverus Girls High School in Malden. Helen was an avid bowler. She and many of her friends have belonged to a bowling league for several years. Helen was predeceased by her husband Theodore J. Joyce, a former Police Chief in the City of Everett and by her daughter Patricia Borden. She is survived by her sons, Theodore F. Joyce and his wife Mary of Cambridge, Robert W. Joyce and his wife Susan of Stoneham, Thomas M. Joyce and his wife Lena of Medford and John D. Joyce and his wife Kathy of Malden. She is also survived by her grandchildren Michael, Jessica, Brian, Daniel, Paul, John, Kevin and Caitlin; and by her great grandchildren Annabella, Ryleigh Kate and Jack. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden on Thursday December 13th at 9 AM followed by interment in Glenwood Cemetery in Everett. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3-7 PM.
