Jean H. Poulin, 74, of Goffstown, died December 9, 2007 at Catholic Medical Center, following a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester, October 19, 1933 and was the son of Henry and Julienne (Dupont) Poulin. He was a graduate of St Marie's High School in Manchester.
He served his country with the US Army Military Police from 1955 to 1957 and was stationed in Europe.
While stationed overseas, Jean traveled extensively throughout Italy, Austria, Germany and France. Although he found Paris to be the most beautiful city, the highlight of his travels was the blessing by the Pope in Rome. Jean was a very kind and gentle man who loved music, the arts and classic movies. He especially enjoyed time spent with family. He was a gracious, loving man who will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A former factory worker, Jean found his true calling helping the residents of Mt. Carmel Nursing Home where he worked for several years and met his future bride, Evelyn, the love of his life.
Members of his family include his wife Evelyn (Smith) Poulin, of Goffstown; two daughters; Louise Frank, of Nashua, Gloria Hudon, of Goffstown, and a son, David Poulin, of Merrimack; 5 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday December 14, 2007 in St Joseph Cathedral Chapel, Lowell St., Manchester. A committal service followed in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen NH.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, was in charge of arrangements.
