Bridgewater - Margaret F. "Rita" (Berry) Ouellette, 84, of Bridgewater, died on Dec. 5, 2007, at her home after a short illness.
Born in England, a daughter of the late William and Frances (Burke) Berry, she was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School.
She also was a graduate of Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School.
She worked as an administrative assistant at Bridgewater State College for 24 years, retiring in 1990.
She enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
She was the wife of the late Joseph O. Ouellette; mother of Joseph O. III and his late wife Maureen, Maureen F. and her companion Annette Silva, Nancy I. Weljkovic and her husband Michael of East Bridgewater, Michelle Gover and her husband Bernard of East Douglas, Lisa Lehane and her husband Timothy of Coventry, Conn., and the late Donald, Mark and Scott; sister of Albert Berry and Jean Schlicte, both of South Carolina. Also survived by 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewater, at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday 4-7 p.m. in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater.
