In East Taunton, December 6, 2007 Charles W. died after a brief illness at age 71. Charles was the long time companion of Evelyn (Moore) Westgate. He is the son of the late Mertys & Helen (Evans) Erwin. He lived his entire life in East Taunton and resided on Middleboro Ave. in East Taunton . Charles was employed for the Commonwealth of MA. as an engineer. He retired in 1996 after 38 years of service, most recently at the County St. facility in Taunton. Charles was a peacetime veteran in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Old Colony Historical Society. Charles leaves his companions children Trudy Westgate, Angel Charette, Brenda Calhoun, Vernon Waterman and the late Walter Westgate Jr. His four sisters Shirley Goldstein of Sandwich, Helen “Audrey” Libby of Taunton, Vera Knabb of Coopersburg, PA. and Alberta Bulcamino of Berkley and his brother in law Henry “Hank” Bulcamino. Also survived by his six neices & nephews, his two Aunts Alberta Allen of Mashpee and Harriot Erwin of East Taunton & several Cousins. Funeral service will be held on Monday, Dec. 10th at 11am. in the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sun. from 2-5pm. Interment in Cedar Knoll Cemetery in East Taunton.
