Richard Meoli, 74 of Somerville died Monday in the Massachusetts General Hospital Boston, MA after a long illness.
Born and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late Saverio and Catherine (Speranza) Meoli. Richard was a Laborer employed by the City of Somerville for 23 years and retired in 1987.He served in the U.S. Army during WW II from May 22, 1946 to Oct. 29, 1947.
Beloved husband of the late Joan (Foster). Devoted father of Paul Davidson of Medford, Donna Ferranti of Attleboro, David Meoli of Woburn, Joseph Meoli of Stoneham, Richard Meoli of Maine. Also survived by 7 loving grandchildren. Brother of Catherine Rico of Malden, the late Vito and Lena Meoli. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and close friend of Lorraine MacLellan of Florida.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
