Simon T. Aranha, 73, passed away on December 2nd, 2007 after a brief illness. He had been a resident of Bombay, India before moving to Malden six months ago. Simon is retired from General Electric in India where he worked as a Head Clerk for 37 years. He is survived by his wife Alice (Monis) Aranha; his children; Cyril Aranha and his wife Anita of Malden; Irene Fernandes and her husband Tomas of India; Winnie Concessao and her husband Vijay of Canada; and Philomena Khosla and her husband Lalit of India; his grandchildren Sandra, Valerie, Clayton, Clyde, Victor, Reuben, Niraj and Rhea. He is also survived by his brother Liguory Aranha of India. Simon was predeceased by his brother Leo Aranha. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday December 5th at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Relatives & friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday December 4th from 5-8 PM.
