LOWELL - Alice (Contos) Koumoutseas, 82, a longtime resident of Lowell, died Sunday, December 2nd, 2007 in Lowell General Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Charles "Chester" Koumoutseas who died on December 12, 1996.
She was born on December 16, 1925 in Lowell, a daughter of the late Christos and the late Gianoula (Alemisis) Contos.
Mrs. Koumoutseas devoted her life to her family and was a member of the Hellenic Church of the Holy Trinity in Lowell.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Christos Koumoutseas of Lowell; her daughter Catherine "Becky" Brown and her husband Kirkland of Tyngsboro; three granddaughters, Katelyn Brown, Kimberly Brown and Kourtney Brown, four sisters, Pat Karabatsos and her husband Anthony of Lowell; Bessie Bolianites of Lowell, Kay Natsios and her husband Anthony of Dracut, and Effie Contos of Lowell; her brother, Arthur Contos of Lowell; many nephews and nieces.
She was also the sister of the late Helen Spanos of Lowell and sister-in-law of the late Louis Bolianites.
Friends may call at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT on Wednesday from 9 AM until 10 AM. Followed by her Funeral Service at the Hellenic Church of the Holy Trinity on Wednesday at 11 AM. Interment in Westlawn Cemetery in Lowell.
