Joseph H. Johnston, 77, of Hudson, MA, died Thursday, November 29, 2007, at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester, MA.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carole (Novick) Johnston of Hudson, MA.
Born in Milton, MA, he was the son of the late Daniel and Katherine (MacDonald) Johnston.
Mr. Johnston was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion, Post 0235, in Maynard, MA. He was employed by the former Digital Equipment Corp. before his retirement.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his 3 sons, Alan Johnston and his wife Marsha of Berlin, MA, Gary Johnston of Gardner, MA, Craig Johnston of Barre, MA and his daughter Gail Varney and her husband Mark of North Grafton, MA.
He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren, Paul, Daniel, Michael, Timothy, Bryan, Krystle and Karolyn Johnston, Jason Rizzo and his great grandson Daniel Johnston Jr.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Family and friends may attend calling hours Saturday, Dec. 8, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
