AUBURN-Elizabeth G. (Reilly) Kennedy, 89, of Auburn, died Saturday, December 1st in the Life Care Center of Auburn after an illness. Her husband of 56 years, William C. Kennedy, Sr. died April 28, 1999. She leaves 5 sons, William C. Kennedy, Jr. of Auburn, Michael J. and his wife, Donna Kennedy of Spring Hill, FL, Joseph B. and his wife, Diane Kennedy of Wichita, KA, Charles P. Kennedy of Worcester and Stephen J. and his wife, Kim Kennedy of Southbridge; a daughter, Joan E., wife of Stuart Anderson of Worcester; a brother, Joseph L. Reilly of Spencer; a sister, Catherine N. Polis of Oxford; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. A brother, Francis X. Reilly, Jr. and 2 sisters, Louise C. Perry and Rita McGee predeceased her.
She was born in Providence, RI the daughter of Francis X. Reilly, Sr. and Catherine F. (DeBassio) Reilly and lived in Rochdale for many years before moving to Arizona with her husband in 1983. Mrs. Kennedy was a graduate of Classical High School and Fairchild Secretarial School. She was employed by the College of the Holy Cross as a secretary for the Dean of Students office until her retirement.
The funeral is Wednesday, December 5th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Tuesday, December 4th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
