Obituary


GLOUCESTER: Priscilla M. (Rose) Araujo, 93, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 in the Golden Living Center in Gloucester following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Emil “Eddie” Araujo who died in March of 1995.
Born in Gloucester on January 23, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Avner) Rose. An active member of the Our Lady of Good Voyage Church, she was a member of the Ladies Guild.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lucille D. and Robert Diamond, a son and daughter-in-law, Edward G. and Josephine (Orlando) Araujo all of Gloucester, three grandchildren, Lynda Martin of Petaluma, CA, Michele Hayes and Joseph Araujo both of Gloucester, three great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Araujo of Gloucester, Talia and Isabella Martin both of Petaluma, CA, four nephews, Joseph Rose, Joseph Muse, Russell “Butch” Rose and Richard Muse, three nieces, Carol Lord, Betty Mello and Helen MacLeod. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Thelma Muse and Mildred MacLeod, three brothers, Chester, Russell and Joseph Rose, a brother-in-law, Walter Muse and a nephew, Ronald MacLeod.
Her funeral services will be privately held in the Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice.
