BEVERLY: Benjamin J. Osswald, 37, died Saturday, November 24, 2007 in the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. He was the husband of Rhonda B. (Gonyea) Osswald.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island on October 3, 1970, he grew up in W. Newbury and had resided in Salem, Beverly and Peabody for many years. He was a graduate of Beverly High School.
Ben was employed as a carpet installer for many years at several carpet companies on the North Shore. He loved to travel and enjoyed camping.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his parents, Jim and Gerry Cahill of Beverly and Joan and Lauriston Clark of W. Newbury, his stepchildren, Jessica Valente of Beverly and Robert Valente of Peabody, two grandchildren, Cheyenne Valente and Alex Franco, six sisters, Joy Grimes, Bonney Pelley, Molly Pelley, Heather Gallant, Danielle Cahill and Bethanie Cahill, three brothers, Mack Osswald, Jason Gallant and Corey Cahill, his godchild, Brian Gabrielski and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday evening in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot Street, Beverly from 5 – 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Funeral services will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
