Poppy (Marathas) Viscariello of Dedham, died November 27, 2007 at the Golden Living Center of Dedham. She was 88. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Viscariello.
Poppy was born in Lowell and was the daughter of the late James and Agnes (Chohonis) Marathas. A longtime Dedham resident, she was a retired sales clerk for Lechmere’s of Dedham. Poppy loved playing Bingo and her Lottery Tickets.
Devoted Mother of Poppy Ann Lonigro and her husband Dennis, Ralph J. Viscariello and his wife Peggy and the late Carol Civitarese and her late husband William. Grandmother of David and Dennis Lonigro, John and Gina Viscariello and Anthony and Cristina Civitarese. Sister of Nick, Paul, George and Perry Marathas, Irene Gardner, Helen DeStito, Sophie Soja, Nancy Krowski and the late Charles, Peter, Mitzi and Faith Marathas.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, Saturday at 8 AM. Funeral mass in St. Denis Church, Westwood, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-7 PM. Interment Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
