Avedissian, Avedis H., age 85 of Teaneck, formerly of Cairo, Egypt, and Lebanon died Tuesday, November 27, 2007. Beloved husband of Akabi. Devoted father of Hagop Avedissian, Marie-Jeanne Shirian and her husband Sarkis, and Sonia Kechian and her husband Rich. Dear brother of Angelle Pakhchanian. Loving grandfather of Christine, Stephanie, Paul, Valerie, Richie, and Greg. Avedis was a tailor and designer at Lord and Taylor in New York City. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church where he was an active member of the choir and men’s club. Funeral service Friday, 10AM at St. Vartanantz Church. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, 6-9PM at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck, NJ.
