NEW BEDFORD — Patricia A. Kennefick, age 59 years, of New Bedford, died Saturday, November 24, 2007, unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
Daughter of Ann (Howard) Collis of Fairhaven and the late Charles M. Duke, she was educated in local schools and for thirty years employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a mental health worker.
Patricia attended the First Church of the Nazarene and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. A lover of horses and especially loved and was very attentive to her grandson Tyler.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter Marcia Kennefick and her companion Peter Haslam and his son Peter Jr. all of New Bedford, her sister, Kathleen Duke of Fairhaven, her brother James C. Collis of Dartmouth and her grandson Tyler James Kennefick. She was sister of the late Richard G. Collis II.
Arrangements with the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., NB with visitation on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. and her funeral on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the First Church of the Nazarene, 764 Hathaway Rd., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
