Ann McAllister Jordan, 76, of Mystic and Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 22nd, at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Her brave battle has ended.
She was born on November 17, 1931 in Pittsburgh one of twelve children to James and Aretta McAllister. A longtime resident of Pittsburgh, she was a member of the Covenant Baptist Church. She was the widow of Lester C. Jordan Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law, Karen R. and John A. Colebut of Mystic; her son, Lester C. Jordan Jr. and his wife Tracy of Pittsburgh; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Nathan, Albert and Leonard McAllister, all of Pittsburgh, John McAllister of Providence, Claudia Drysdale of Atlanta, GA, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Gladys, Delores, Joseph, Gerald, James, and Donald.
Her family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Wednesday from 5-7pm. Her funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 11am at the funeral home with The Rev. Dr. Benjamin Watts, officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic.
