Quebec, Canada – Sister Frances Emond, p.f.m. died on June 10, 2007 at the Infirmary of the Little Franciscans of Mary in Baie-Saint-Paul, Quebec, Canada.
Born in Winterville, Maine she was the daughter of Albert and Exire (Soucy) Emond. She is survived by the members of her Religious Congregation; a sister Albertine DeCou; a sister-in-law Margaret Emond and several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
The Rite of Christian Burial was celebrated in the Mother House Chapel on June 13, followed by burial in the Congregation’s cemetery.
Sister Frances was Director of Nursing at Saint Francis Home in Worcester for 25 years before retiring to the Mother House. She was also very active in the Pro-Life movement for many years.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Saint Francis Home, 101 Plantation St., Worcester at 9 AM on Saturday, December 1. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester is assisting with arrangements.
