Donald C. “Don” O’Keefe, 64 of Medford, died Tuesday after a long illness.
Born and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Dorothy (Donohoe) and David O’Keefe. Don was a Vice President, in the Mortgage and Loan Department with South Boston Saving’s Bank in South Boston for 15 years and retired in 1997. He served during Vietnam War in the Army from 1964 to 1966. Don also was a member of the Arlington Men’s’ Club and the Knights of Columbus Council #4336 Tewksbury.
Beloved husband of Theresa M. (Cantalupa) O’Keefe. Devoted father of David O'Keefe, Christopher O'Keefe and his wife Leah all of Medford, Gregory O'Keefe and his wife Yoko of Japan, Catherine O'Keefe of Somerville, and Amy O'Keefe of Stoneham. Loving grandfather of Connor, Kelsey and Caitlin O'Keefe. Brother of Janice Conrad of Saugus, and the late David O’Keefe. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Late U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam War.
