Obituary

Andrew J. Tulloch, 75, of New Bedford died Tuesday January 7, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Helen (Swistak) Tulloch, and son of the late Catherine (Roy) and Thomas A.C. Tulloch.

Mr. Tulloch was born in New Bedford and had lived in New Bedford for all of his life. He graduated from New Bedford High School in 1945, and received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Accounting from Bryant College in 1949.

Mr. Tulloch was formerly employed as an Account Staff Supervisor for New England Telephone Company for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Telephone Company Pioneers.

Mr. Tulloch served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Tarawa, and was a recipient of the American Theater medal and the World War II Victory medal. He also served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict aboard the U.S.S. Benham, and was a recipient of the National Defense Service medal.

He was a mason, and was an avid golfer in his younger years. He was former member of the Country Club of New Bedford and served on the board of directors.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Douglas Tulloch of New Bedford; a daughter, Cyndi Mikkelson of Fairfield, CA; 2 brothers, Thomas C. Tulloch of Brewster, MA and William A. Tulloch of New Bedford; 3 grandchildren, Jacob Tulloch, Collin Tulloch and Catherine Mikkelson; and several nieces and nephews.

His private Funeral Service was held Thursday morning, January 9th, in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
