Helen C. Ahl, 87

Worcester – Helen C. (Filon) Ahl, 87, of Indian Hill Road, died January 8 in the Saint Francis Home.

Her husband, Gustaf A. Ahl, died in 1972. She leaves a son, Walter G. Ahl of Worcester; and four daughters, Susan C. Botsis of Worcester, Helen C. Larson of Charlton, Virginia M. Simons of Oklahoma, and Norma F. Ramelli of Florida; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, a niece and a nephew. Four brothers and a sister predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Visil and Stella (Jeskevitch) Filon. She graduated from Commerce High School.

Mrs. Ahl worked for Worcester Country Club and Holy Cross College for many years before retiring. She was a member of St. George Church. Mrs. Ahl was an accomplished cook and enjoyed spending time at her summer home in Duxbury.

The Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 11, in St. George Church, 40 Brattle St. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be from 4-7 p.m., Friday, January 10, at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Flowers may be sent or donations may be made to Daily Mass, 49 Elm St., Worcester, MA 01609.
