Obituary

Salem: M. Dorothy 'Dottie'Theriault died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at the NSMC / Salem Hospital.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph W. St. Pierre and Malvina (St. Pierre) Theriault McGrath. For over 22 years she worked for the former CBS Hytron at the Danvers plant. With the closing of the Hytron, she began working, in many different capacities, for Sylvania until her retirement in 1985.
Dottie was a nature lover. She was fond of all animals both in the wild and as domestic pets. She was also a lover of horses and for 27 years was active at the Equestrian Centennial Farm in Hamilton. Dottie was also a 22 year member of the Beverly YMCA Sterling Center.
She is survived by her brother, William J. ‘Jim’ McGrath of Salem, 2 nieces: Lynne Ryder of Peabody and Kerry Valcourt of Bradford. She is also survived by several devoted friends including members of the Plamondon family. She was predeceased by her sister Marguerite M. Sulham.
Relatives and friends are invited to her memorial mass on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 9 am in the chapel of Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem. Private burial services were held earlier this week. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Northeast Animal Shelter, 204 Highland Ave., Salem, MA. 01970.
