Alan R. Kelley, age 78, of Dracut, died Tuesday, Nov. 13 at Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Winona "Nonie" (Baird) Kelley, with whom he celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on Sep. 5.
Born in Woburn on Feb. 22, 1929, the son of the late Martin and Mary (Kaiser) Kelley, he received his education through Woburn schools. Mr. Kelley served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Randolph from 1946 until 1948.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed for over 30 years with Raytheon in Lowell in the Missile Systems Division. He enjoyed music and dancing and loved spending time at his home with his family, friends and dogs Baron, Oliver and Sammy.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Robin Kelley, Alane and Bill Martin and Barbara Kelley and Bob Hilton, all of California; a grandson, Bobby Hilton of CA; a sister, Rita McGondel of Woburn and his twin brother, Paul Kelley of Connecticut; a sister-in-law, Shirley McDermott of Tewksbury; a brother-in-law, Irville Baird of Woburn; dear friends, Lillian Rasimowicz and Frank Parzych, both of Dracut; also nieces and nephews.
At his request Funeral Services will be held privately.
