Obituary

George E. Terrio, Sr. a resident of Hull, New Hampshire and Brockton, died Thursday, in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Rosemary (McCarthy) Terrio of Hull. He was born in Abington, brought up in Abington Malden and Whitman. He was the son of the late Everett and Helen (Ware)Terrio. George worked at the Foreriver Shipyard for 14 years and then he was the owner of the Bait & Tackle Store in Quincy, Weymouth and Hull. He was veteran of the United States Army, during the Korean conflict. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and his family. In addition to his wife Rosemary, he is survived by his children, Helen Terrio of Hull, George Terrio, Jr. of Weymouth, John Terrio of Brockton, Maryellen Terrio of Zepher Hills, Fl., Kevin Terrio of Weymouth, Brian Terrio of Brockton, Kathleen Casey of Wareham and James Terrio of Pittsfield. and the late Geraldine Terrio :his brothers, Kenneth Terrio of Texas, Dennis Terrio of Brockton, his sisters Janice Raasch of Fl. and Marlene Howard of Hull ; also 15 grandchildren, especially Heather Whiting and her husband Rick and Tom Terrio,also one deceased grandchild and ,11 great grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held Monday November 19th at 8:30 A. M. from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Inc, Plymouth Street (Rt 58 at the Rotary Circle), Whitman, MA. , followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 A.M. in the St. Mary of the Assumption Church ,Samoset Ave. & Lewis Street, Hull, MA., 02045. Burial will at a later date .Visiting hours Sunday November 18th 4-8 P.M. Donations may be made in his name to the Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Place Boston, MA., 02215 or St. Mary of the Assumption Church ,Samoset Ave. & Lewis Street, Hull, MA., 02045.
