Bridgewater - David L. Poirier, a 21 year resident of Bridgewater, died suddenly Oct. 8, 2007, in Taunton. He was 60.
Born and raised in Taunton, he was a 1965 graduate of Taunton High School, where he was an All-State football player for three years.
He was the owner and operater of Dave's Seafood in Taunton for 30 years.
He enjoyed fishing and was an avid football fan.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Gail (Kanavey); son of Therese (Lagace) and the late Lian of Taunton; brother of Gail Bortolotti and her husband Gary of Taunton and the late Philip; uncle of Philip Bortolotti of Taunton; brother-in-law of Richard Kanavey of Florida and Elaine Mello of North Carolina.
Funeral from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
